Reminding the natural connection between plant – water – and earth, this work deals with halfautonomic systems for watering indoor-plants, thus making watering unnecessary for several weeks, by restoring the autonomy of a natural ecological system.

The Contact between Water and Earth
is made by means of a special cord with soaks up the water. The cord is placed into the pot together with the earth and runs out through a hole at the bottom. Into the water container. By capillary action the water is transported up into the earth. Depending on the plant's need for water, one or more cords can be run through the pot or can be removed.
Integrating a Water-Container
The container which has been filled with water is placed into the system with the opening at the bottom. The water empties until the developing water-level has reached the opening of the water-container and no more water can flow out. As soon as the water-level has been reduced by the plant's need for water, the opening of the water-container again releases water and raises the water-level.
The central space of the half-sphere is filled with plants and the space around it is filled with water. Volume about 2 liters.
As connecting material a "bridge", made of clay is put in position.
The half-spheres are placed on a clay-pedestal and can be turned in any direction (facing the light).
